VODAFONE VODAPHONE BLACKBERRY SPAIN PRE-PAID PAY AS YOU GO NIGHTMARE - PRE PAY BLACKBERRY SPAIN
Blackberry is available in Spain on a "PAy as You Go" basis. The cost is €3.50+IVA for Blackberry service plus you have to pay an additional €3.50 per week for the internet access so you are looking at €7 a week + IVA to use a Blackberry in Spain with Vodafone.
Sound good? I thought so!
Be warned if you decide to buy a pay as you go Blackberry from Vodafone that you will spend 3 hours a week talking to the Vodafone customer department as they will not automatically take payment, instead every 7 days you have to call the Vodafone customer care team and ask to activate the Bono Wap, every time I do this it takes around 25 minutes. Once the service has been reactivated you then loose the service for 24 hours, no e-mail and no internet. When you call the Vodafone customer care team and tell them that the service has ben lost they will tell you the following;
1. Take the battery out of the phone for 7 minutes and this will solve the problem.
2. That there is technical issues at the moment
3. That there is a problem in your area.
4. The system is down call back tommorow
They will never simply admit that the service is flawed and that despite pointing out that every week for 5 weeks exactly the same thing happens nothing will be done!
You cannot request that the money be taken automatically, you MUST call up every 7 days to activate the bono wap, for the first 4 weeks the Blackberry service would automaticaly be charged and I would receive a text message saying so., this has now stopped so I now face having to call Vodafone Spain twice a week.
I told the Vodafone Spain customer care team that before the Blackberry service activated automaticall and they basically said "I was a liar"
The Blackberry pay as you go service with Vodafone is the most annoying service that I have ever had the misfortune of participating in as despite requests that I am happy to pay the whole year in advance they will not do it so I end up spending 3 hours a week calling up to re-activate and then to get the service back on as they7 always cut me off.
Why did they make the system so annoying & frustrating? Greed!
If you forget to reactivate the bono it will cost you 5 times as much and all your credit will be swallowed up. You cannot reactivate the service untill it expires so if you activate at 10am you have to wait untill 10.05 7 days later.
